Tamulpur records 67.88 percent voters turnout

Polling began on Saturday at 322 polling centres in No 58 Tamulpur Assembly constituency.

BAKSA: Polling began on Saturday at 322 polling centres in No 58 Tamulpur Assembly constituency. BTC chief Pramod Boro has cast his vote with his wife at 139 (2) number polling centre of Sauraguri Primary School.

Pramod Boro claimed that the alliance candidates would win all the five constituencies. Replying to a question by reporters he said that peaceful voting was held this time after decades.

Assam Legislative Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary has cast his vote at No 5 Suraagpur Primary School polling centre.

Allied candidate Jolen Daimary has cast his vote at Pakribari Primary School in No 41 polling centre. A total of 2,17,432 voters will decided the fate of the six candidates. There have been no reports of untoward incident till the filing of the report. The voters' turnout in Tamulpur constituency is said to be around 67.88%.
