Tangla College Teachers’ Unit demands repeal of Citizenship Amendment Act

TANGLA: The faculty members of the Tangla College Teachers’ Unit on Wednesday donned black badges in protest against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and demanded the immediate repeal of the Act. The teachers contended that the said Act violates the fundamental doctrines of the Constitution under Article 14 and also Article 21 of the Constitution. This was stated by the president of the Darrang-Udalguri Zone of the Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) Kailash Goswami.
