Tax department has started a new portal to help taxpayers

BONGAIGAON: The tax department has started a new portal to help taxpayers. Assistant Tax Commissioner of Bongaigaon said that taxpayers could now pay their tax online through this app.

"The previous system of tax paying through bank portal will be closed from October 1. Other than GST, all other taxes can be paid through this app http//:www.tax.assam.gov.in. The taxpayers have to pay using their own user ID and password here. For any problems taxpayers can call the two helpline numbers 0361-2232691 and 0361-2232664 or the Assistant Tax Commissioner's office of Bongaigaon," he said.
