Teacher dies in road mishap in Jagiroad

MORIGAON: In a tragic road accident, a teacher of Motiram Bora Higher Secondary, Central Dharamtul, Benudhar Deka (56) on Sunday succumbed to injury after a speeding bike hit his bicycle from behind near Dalmia Cement Company at Baghjap, Jagiroad.

He was a subject teacher in Political Science. He was immediately taken to Guwahati but he died on the way. Police have nabbed the bike rider. He leaves behind his wife, a daughter and host of relatives. His demise cast a pall of gloom in the Baghjap area.
