Teachers' Day celebrated in Cachar district

SILCHAR: Following all COVID protocols, the Teachers' Day was celebrated coinciding with the birthday of Dr. Sarvopalli Radhakrishnan at Government Girls' HS & MP School here on Saturday.

The programme was jointly organized by the district administration, Cachar and Education Department.

The function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp and paying floral tribute at the portrait of Dr. Sarvopalli Radhakrishnan by Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli and other dignitaries. At the very outset, Inspector of Schools, Cachar, Semina Yasmin Ara Rahman, in her address, said that the Government of India is always vigilant to prevent the spread of the corona outbreak in the current situation. She hoped that this crisis situation would be overcome soon. Rahman said that Dr. Radhakrishnan established himself as an eminent philosopher, educator, calligrapher, orator and a human lover in the world due to his own initiative, perseverance, intellectual strength and radiant personality. "The present education system needs to be strengthened, then success will come automatically, " she added.
