Teachers Training Programme Held in Furkating College

Golaghat: Rotary club of Golaghat and the Department of English, Furkating College, jointly organised a ‘Two Days Doorstep In-service Teachers’ Training Programme’ in Furkating College on 3rd & 4th October. The programme was organised in collaboration with the ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING INSTITUTE, Guwahati, Assam. The Two day workshop was conducted by Chitra Lekha Sarma, Director I/c, ELTI, Guwahati. In all, 52 teachers of Lower Primary level schools of all the blocks of Golaghat District attended the programme. The inaugural session, was attended by the Rotarians of Rotary Club of Golaghat, Principal of the college, Dr Apurba Saikia, District Elementary Education Officer Mr L Jardumsa, District Programme Officer of Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan, Roshida Begum. The inaugural session was conducted by Dr. Debashis Baruah of the department of English, welcome address being presented by the Principal of the college.
