Textbooks distribution programme for 2022-23 academic session inaugurated in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: The free of cost textbooks distribution programme for 2022-23 academic session under Lakhimpur Education Block was inaugurated on Tuesday.

The ceremonial programme organized on this occasion was held at the Lakhimpur Education Block Office under the management of SSA resource person Pankaj Hazarika. The programme commenced with Natalia Natasha Hundique, the Circle Officer of North Lakhimpur Revenue Circle, in the chair, wherein CRCC Jayanta Baruah explained the objectives. In the programme, Block Officer of Lakhimpur Education Block, Binod Morang apprised the inclusive plan along with the government circular regarding the distribution of the free of cost textbooks distribution under the Education Block. Retired Education Officer Jiten Saikia, Zila Parishad member Chandra Chutia, Sub-Inspector of Schools Izazul Hussain, a host of academicians, representatives from teachers' organizations, Lakhimpur district unit of All Assam Students' Union, Resource Centres under the Education Block were present in the programme. The meeting laid stress on distributing the free of cost textbooks to all students by April.
