Tezpur Film Festival organized by Tezpur Chalachitra Mancha kicks off

Tezpur : A four-day event of 5th Tezpur Film Festival was organized by Tezpur Chalachitra Mancha at Asomiya Club premise on Monday evening. The film festival was inaugurated by renowned director and film maker Dr. Santwana Bordoloi in the presence of Sailaja Padmapati and Arun Nath, president and secretary of Tezpur Chalachitra Mancha and others. It opened with the screening of a nationally acclaimed film Mayong (Myth/Reality) directed by Utpal Borpujari and Narpuh Wildlife Sanctuary- The Last Wilderness, directed by Pelevizo Meyase.

Dr. Santwana Bordoloi highlighted her experience in the Assamese film industry and described the beauty of Tezpur through her poetry. She also said that it was time for the youth to join the Assamese film industry with new concept and creation. Veteran actor Arun Nath said such festivals provided great opportunity for the new generation of movie lovers.
