Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das campaigns for BJP candidates in Dhekiajuli

DHEKIAJULI: Pallab Lochan Das, the BJP MP of Tezpur constituency, on Thursday campaigned in several wards of Dhekiajuli Municipal Board.
Early in the morning, the BJP MP reached ward no. 10, Dhekiajuli and took part in an election meeting in Nizaraapar, Dhekiajuli and urged upon the public to vote for BJP candidate Manoj Giri. The MP urged people to vote for the BJP so that the ongoing development works could continue.
The MP attended another election meeting in ward no 3. In this election meeting, several members joined the BJP. The newly-joined BJP member, Tultul Sen Gupta whose nomination as Congress candidate was cancelled, told media persons that her nomination was cancelled due to the conspiracy of several prominent political leaders. On the other hand, participating in the election meeting, Pallab Lochan Das alleged that the development activities in the ward had suffered due to the negligence of its ward commissioner who was continuously winning from the ward as an independent candidate. He urged upon the people of the ward to reconsider their choice of candidate.
On the other hand, Congress candidates of different wards are also campaigning to woo voters. Several Independent candidates from ward no 4, ward no 3 and ward no. 1 have also started their campaigning.
