Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das meets bereaved families of drowned youths

JAMUGURIHAT: Tezpur HPC MP Pallab Lochan Das on Tuesday visited the houses of the five families who had lost their wards on April 14.

Five youths, including a girl and four boys, from the Sootea area lost their lives by drowning in the Ghiladhari River. Pallab Lochan visited the house of Babul Hazarika, Paresh Ojha and Atul Ojha of Bhakat Gaon, Sootea who had lost their sons. The MP listened to the woes and grievances of the bereaved family members. Similarly, he had visited the houses of Narayan Mantri and Renu Mantri of Purani Gaon who had lost their son and daughter respectively.

He inquired about the tragic incident from the villagers and interacted with the family members. The Tezpur MP was accompanied by Diganta Ghatowar, president of Biswanath district BJP, Ishwar Timsina, president of Sootea Mandal BJP, along with party office bearers.
