TEZPUR: The 47th general conference of the AMSA (Assam Medical Service Association) will be held from November 15 and 16 in Tezpur. This was informed by the reception committee in a press meet held at IMA House Tezpur on Sunday.

While addressing media, the organizing president of AMSACON, Tezpur Chapter, Dr Atul Kalita stated that about 150 delegates from all the district units are expected to participate in it.

The inauguration of the delegates' camp on the afternoon of November 15 will be done by Dr Jiauddin Ahmed, JDHS, and followed by a central executive committee meeting at the District library auditorium.

The programme on the second day will be marked with the flag hoisting by AMSA president, Dr Nani Gopal Saharia followed by a 'smriti tarpan' programme by AMSA general secretary, Dr Kanak Chandra Talukdar.

Superintendent of Police, Sonitpur Dhananjay Ghanawat will inaugurate the 'Scientific session' on the second day while Deputy commissioner, Bhupesh Chandra Das will inaugurate the 'Delegates session'.

Office bearers of the organizing committee AMSA including, Sonitpur unit president Dr Biman Sharma, secretary Dr Tultul Das and Dr Bijay Pal Das also spoke in detail regarding the preparation of the event.
