Tezpur youth Pritam Borah shines in Indian Army

TEZPUR: Pritam Borah, a brilliant Assamese youth of Tezpur town in Sonitpur district has been able to grab a position as lieutenant in the Indian Army bringing laurels to historic Tezpur city as well as to the district. Son of Prafulla Borah, Deputy Registrar, of Tezpur University and Krishna Borah and a resident of Kamalanagar here, the talented boy, having masters in Biotechnology from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong (Passed out in 2018 under the Department of Biotechnology fellowship), did his schooling with 10+2 standard from Goalpara Sainik School. After his senior secondary schooling (10+2), he took his Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology from Tezpur University.

However, he cleared the UPSC conducted Combined Defense Service (CDS) Examination in 2018 and joined the Indian Military Academy in 2019 and passed out on June 13 of the current year to join as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army.

The talented Borah is now posted in Uri. His success has been appreciated by all sections of society and he has been an inspiration for all.
