Tezpur’s Hirak Mandal Shines in National Referee Level Upgradation Course

Tezpur: Tezpur’s own Hirak Mandal has added another feather to his cap by successfully qualifying in the National Referee Level Upgradation Course in Taekwondo. With over 15 years in the sport, Hirak’s journey reflects unwavering dedication and growth.

Starting his training in 2008, Hirak stepped into competitive Taekwondo in 2012 and shot to prominence after clinching gold at an international championship in 2016. He continued to represent India on global platforms, including another international outing in 2020, and has consistently participated in national-level events.

Trained under Utpal Mandal at the Amateur Taekwondo Academy, Hirak has built both skill and discipline. His passion for the sport also extends beyond the mat — in 2023, he passed the National Referee Exam and has now advanced further by completing the upgradation course.

Hirak Mandal now stands out not only as an accomplished athlete but also as a certified referee, contributing to the sport’s growth and integrity in India.
