KOKRAJHAR, July 31: The Department of Information and Public Relations on Tuesday bade farewell to technician Arendra Brahma (60) who retired from service. A farewell meet was held at the conference hall of the Council Head of the Department (CHD), I&PR, BTC office. Arendra Brahma (60) of Shyamthaibari village under Serfanguri police station joined as cleaner at the Subdivisional Information and Public Relations Office, Gossaigaon in 1986 and worked for over 11 years. He joined at DIPRO, Kokrajhar in 1997. In 1998, he was promoted as operator at the Subdivisional Information and Public Relations Office, Udalguri and continued his service till 2000. He then returned to Kokrajhar DIPRO. Again he got promoted to the post of technician in 2011 and joined at DIPRO, Mushalpur in Baksa district. Subsequently, he retired on Tuesday from the same post.

The Council Head of the Department (CHD), Information and Public Relations, BTC, felicitated Brahma at the conference hall of the office. Ansuma Mahilary, CHD, I&PR, BTC, felicitated Brahma with traditional aronai and other items. He recalled his service and dedication for the department. The felicitation ceremony was also attended by Public Relations Officer, BTC, Sameswar Basumatary, Kokrajhar DIPRO Gagan Chandra Narzary and members of Kokrajhar Press Club.
