The historic Bajali College to be upgraded to Bhattadev University by the Government of Assam

PATHSALA: The historic Bajali College of Pathsala in Barpeta district will soon be upgraded to Bhattadev University. The government has already started the procedure and 26 colleges in Barpeta and Nalbari (17 in Barpeta and 9 in Nalbari) districts will be brought under the Bhattadev University. The decision has been taken by the Education Department of the Government of Assam.

The government has also given advertisements for the post of Vice-Chancellor of Bhattadev University and has allotted fund of Rs 2.60 crore for construction of the university. Construction work has begun and authorities concerned are looking to complete it at the earliest.
