The Humanity a socio-welfare organization felicitates blood donors in Dhubri

DHUBRI: The Humanity, a socio-welfare organization, organized a programme to felicitate blood donors across Assam here in a auditorium of Town Hotel in Dhubri town on Wednesday.

Speaking at the function, president of Dhubri unit Indian Red Cross Society, Dr. Debamoy Sanyal said that donating blood is saving life, so it is a noble service towards humanity.

"People of all walks of life should take inspiration from the youths who have been donating blood a number of times. I wish all the donors a healthy and long life," Dr. Sanyal said.

An ardent social worker, Simul Sarkar in his speech, while praising the donors' incredible contribution in saving many lives, called upon the youths of villages to donate blood. A host of speakers also addressed the meeting and hailed the contribution of blood donors.

Talking to The Sentinel, founder and secretary of The Humanity, Sudip Kumar Kundu informed that altogether 50 regular blood donors across Assam attended the function and were felicitated each with phulam gamosa, citation and trophy.
