Theft in Doomdooma Revenue Circle Office

DOOMDOOMA: At a time when Assam Police earned the distinction of occupying third position in policing in the whole country, the incidence of theft, twice consecutively within a gap of three days at Doomdooma Revenue Circle Office situated at Rupaisiding, has raised many eyebrows.

After stealing two motorbikes within a month in the town, thieves stole a computer on Sunday and a computer monitor and scanner on Tuesday night from the Revenue Circle Office, Circle Officer (CO) Ranonmoy Bharadwaj told media persons in his office. An FIR was lodged in the Doomdooma Police Station but the police have allegedly failed to apprehend anybody so far. CO Bharadwaj further told scribes that night chowkidar seldom does his duty. So the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tinsukia was informed of the matter.
