Bongaigaon: “There is no scarcity of essential food items in Assam. We have sufficient stock of that and some are coming. So saying that the Supply Minister has failed is baseless,” said Phani Bhusan Choudhury, State Food and Supply Minister, on Sunday in Bongaigaon.

He said that there were some problems in supply during the lockdown. “We are facing some problems like scarcity of manpower to load and unload materials. Still we are doing our best and you can see price hike is very less compared to other States,” Choudhury said.

Phani Bhusan Choudhury took part in a sanitization programme in Bongaigaon town which was conducted by Bongaigaon district administration, Bongaigaon Municipality and fire brigade service jointly.
