KOKRAJHAR: The thieves looted the Sri Sri Radha Krishna temple near Kokrajhar Press Club office in the heart of Kokrajhar town on Saturday night. Talking to media persons, the priest of the temple said the thieves looted the temple at around 2-3 am and took away money from the donation box and five silver idols of lord Krishna and other materials. He said he noticed about the looting early in the morning when he saw that the grills of the backside window were cut and opened. He also said it was the first incident since he assumed as temple priest. Kokrajhar police have started investigation to look out the thieves.
Similar cases occurred in Kokrajhar Press Club office earlier from where the thieves took away computer sets, CPU and other materials. Besides, some unknown miscreants had recently damaged flint tiles, broke window glasses and spit on the walls of the press club.
