Three arrested in Nonoi murder case, pistol recovered, Nagaon

NAGAON: Nagaon Police on Saturday apprehended three prime accused in the recent murder of a retired army personnel at Nonoi Khatorgaon village in Nagaon and also recovered one pistol along with ammunition and a Pulsar bike used in the gruesome incident.

According to police sources, the nabbed criminals have been identified as Raju Banik, a veteran dacoit and professional shooter, renowned dacoit Sultan Ali and one of the business associates of deceased army personnel Dipen Nath.

The sources added that Nagaon Police picked up the business associate, Pranab Nath and on the basis of his statement, police on Saturday noon apprehended Rajib Banik from the Raha area and Sultan Ali from a Dhaba situated at Nagaon Borghat bypass area. Subsequently, based on their statements, police went to Baksa from where finally recovered one pistol, ammunition and the Pulsar bike used by them on the day of the murder.
