Three cattle thieves held from different places in Merapani

MERAPANI: Three cattle thieves were arrested from different places of Ghiladhari police station recently. According to police sources, on the night of March 30, three persons were roaming in Mokrong village in a jeep (AS 03C3456). The police patrol team grew suspicious and asked the car to stop but the gang tried to flee. Police arrested them and sent them to jail.

The accused have been identified as Sunu Mirdha of Chutjan Kathanipanhar under Kamarbandha police station ,Chiraj Ali of Gonanga under Jorhat police station and Sunil Mahali of Tengalbari under Titabar police station. Meanwhile, an FIR was lodged in Ghilodtari police station against the three cattle thieves. Two cows and two goats were rescued from their vehicle, said police sources.
