BOKO: In a tragic accident, three members of a family lost their lives and one was seriously injured after a goods train (12369) rammed into a Maruti Suzuki Wagonr (AS01DF8398) at Nadiapara Village under Boko Police Station. The train was coming from Guwahati towards New Bongaigoan and at that time, the car was trying to cross the railway track. The family is from Hatisolapam village under Chaygaon LAC. Dr. Abdul Jalil (46), his wife Saniyara Parbin (44) and Afrin Sultana (12) died on the spot and Jannat Johan Sultana (5) was injured seriously.

After the incident, Boko PS Officer in charge Sanjit Kumar Ray and his police team reached the spot and recovered the deadbodies and the injured person sent to the Boko Primary Health Center. Local public alleged that the accident took place due to the railway department's negligence.

According to the locals, the railway department has constructed a tunnel under railway line. But the tunnels are always under water, so the locals use to cross the railway track. They even alleged that they have given complaint to the railway department many times. However, the issue was not resolved.
