Three NRC Staffs Detained by Police for allegedly stealing Documents in Nagaon

Juria: At a time when the final NRC up gradation process is on in the state, a sensational incident has come to light in Nagaon’s Rupahihat area on Tuesday.

Based on an FIR lodged by Revenue Circle Officer of Rupahihat under case no 626/18, Rupohihat police managed to detain three staffs from North Khatuwal NRC Seva Kendra for allegedly stealing a rejected document of a family.

The three employees identified as Edris Ali, Noor Ahmed and Basidul Hasan has been detained by police under suspicion.

It is to be noted that the Rupahihat Circle officer Darshana Chetia had earlier rejected one of the documents of a family which the trios had allegedly stolen from the NRC Seva Kendra and conspire to include names in the NRC by submitting the stolen rejected documents.

Meanwhile, the three detained NRC employees are being interrogated by Rupohihat Police.

Further investigations are on.
