Kaziranga: Three Rhinos, who were separated from their mother in 2019, were sent to Assam State Zoo from Kaziranga on Thursday.

Of three, there was one male rhino while the others two were female and the entire process of transferring them started from Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) under Panbari area of the park.

According to report by PTI, the process of Transferring them was completed smoothly and the three rhinos were expected to reach their destination late tonight.

The report further said that these three Rhinos were injured and brought to the CWRC in 2019 and 2020 where they underwent treatment and were completely cured.

In a bid to transport them, special wooden boxes were made for each of the three rhinos and they were transported in separate vehicles.

While speaking to media, Veterinary Doctor of CWRC said that the age of three rhinos is around 2-3 years. The rhinos were unconscious and sent to the zoo under security arrangements of the forest department.

''They were rescued by CWRC from Kohra, Biswanath and Agratuli areas. These rhinos were rescued during the 2019 flood," he added.
