Three thieves of Theka Colony nabbed by Barpeta Police

BARPETA: Three thieves were caught by Barpeta Police. They are Ratul Das (28), son of Nirmal Das of Bhakatpara, Barpeta, Saddam Hussain (26), son of Abdur Rahim, Bamun Dongra, Barpeta and Pradip Mandal (26), son of Rakhal Mandal of Theka Colony, Barpeta.

There had been continuous thefts of batteries in the entire town. Last night when these three thieves were about to steal batteries from the seized vehicles of the transport department that were kept at Millenium Park near the DC office, Barpeta, they were caught red-handed.

The operation was led by the Sub-Inspector Munindra Das and Deputy Sub-Inspector Bipul Das. The police also seized five batteries from them. An FIR was lodged against them by the police officer at Barpeta police station and a case was also registered (no 1264/2020).
