DHUBRI: Guardian Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, while addressing the head of officials of various departments of Dhubri district in the Deputy Commissioner's conference hall recently, informed that it was a matter of pride that three tons of jackfruit would soon be exported to Dubai from Dhubri district.

Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Anbamuthan MP, on the sidelines of a review meeting on the progress of works, informed the Guardian Minister that it was almost at the final stage to export the 3 ton jackfruit to Dubai soon and he had requested the Guardian Minister to be present on the day of sending the consignment.

The Guardian Minister informed that altogether 16 schools which are 75 years old in the Dhubri district, would be given a special grant. Dass in marathon meetings reviewed the progress of works of Panchayat and Rural Development, Health, Agriculture and MGNREGA and expressed satisfaction over the implementation of MGNREGA scheme in the district, and ordered to implement the Green Gallery scheme under it.

Dass also instructed the officials concerned to gear up the supervision on the PM Awas Yojna and ensure the completion of houses under it. "You should visit houses of beneficiaries who have already received the amount but not completed houses by pursuing them to complete them soon without any further delay," Dass told the officials concerned.

On the ongoing Jal Jeevan scheme, Dass ordered the PHE officials to form the committee of the completed schemes within April and invite Block Development Officer, president of Gaon Panchayat and secretary on the day of handing over the asset.

Dass in his two days' visit also instructed the district veterinary officials to increase the production of egg and reviewed the works of forest, PWD (Road and Building), food and civil supplies and agriculture departments and called upon the officials to expedite their works to complete them and meet the target within the stipulated time.
