Three United Bank of India employees test COVID-19 positive in Demow

DEMOW: Three employees of United Bank of India (UBI), Demow branch tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

According to sources, Lalit Buragohain (58), Kiron Gogoi (28) and Raja Das (34) went for a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) in Demow Model Hospital on Tuesday and they tested positive. Three of them were shifted to Demow COVID Care Centre (CCC) in Sivasagar Polytechnic Institution in Demow Barua Changmai Gaon, said a heath official.

The district administration has declared the United Bank of India as containment area. On the other hand, after an employee of Nimai Hotel tested positive on Monday, the district administration declared Nimai Hotel as containment area on Tuesday. The staff of Nimai Hotel who had tested positive on Monday, was shifted to the Demow COVID Care Centre in Sivasagar Polytechnic Institution in Demow Barua Changmai Gaon on Monday night.
