Three Youths Allegedly Joined Banned Organisations After They Were Reported Missing In Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: On September 19, three youths were reported missing in Lalmati Tinsukia gaon that falls under the district of Dibrugarh.

The three youths are identified as Kamal Sonowal, Dhananjay Sonowal alias Bakhor and Sumon Sonowal. As per sources, the trio had left home three days ago on the pretext of attending a marriage party and never came back home. 

It is also to be mentioned that the three youths are students of the City College in Dibrugarh.

Also, as per the locals of Lalmati village, Kamal Sonowal and Suman Sonowal come from the same family.

According to sources, no clue has been found about the whereabouts of the three youths in the last three days. In addition, it was also revealed that no marriage ceremony had taken place in Ophulia village.

The three youths have seen suspected of joining banned organisations by the locals of Lalmati village.

The Superintendent of Police of Dibrugarh district, Shwetank Mishra, also gave his confirmation on the disappearance of the three youths.

Investigations are on by the Dibrugarh police in this matter.

In other news, after the death of two suspected United Liberation of Bodoland (ULB) militants in an encounter with the police that took place at Ultapani area under Kokrajhar police station on September 18, a probe has been ordered under the supervision of Jayant Narlikar, Commissioner of Lower Assam Division, to inquire into the circumstances leading to their deaths. The inquiry report has been ordered to be submitted in 15 days.
