TEZPUR: In order to celebrate the spirit of Constitution of India on Samvidhan Diwas, Department of Law, Tezpur University on Wednesday organized an insightful lecture on the topic “Transformative Constitutionalism: Contextualizing Gender within the Constitution of India.” Prof. Sarasu Esther Thomas of National Law School of India University, Bengaluru delivered the lecture.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Prof. Sambhu Nath Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Tezpur University said that education plays a pivotal role in understanding and upholding the principles of our Constitution. “It is through knowledge that we can combat ignorance and prejudice,” Prof. Singh said. “As we celebrate Constitution Day, let us recommit ourselves to promoting education that fosters critical thinking, tolerance, and a deep understanding of our shared history and values,” he further added.
