Thunderstorm hits Furkating and causes extensive damage in different places

MERAPANI: Devastating thunderstorm caused extensive damage in different places of Furkating under Golaghat subdivision on March 27. Along with thunderstorm, a heavy hailstorm hit the area. The devastating storm uprooted countless trees in the tea gardens of the locality. Even the pandal for the Satsang function near Furkating railway junction was damaged by the storm.
