Tinsukia district administration conducted eviction drive

TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia district administration undertook a massive eviction drive on Saturday targeting illegal dhabas dotted along Makum Road on NH 37. As many as 14 illegal constructions (selling illegal liquor) including Apu's Restaurant-cum-Dhaba-a popular eatery that has encroached upon roadside reserved land had been demolished in presence of Tinsukia Circle Officer Chinmoy Pathak and Executive Magistrate Niluram Sarma as per provision of ALRR,1886. A large contingent of security forces had been deployed in the operation.
