Tinsukia District Journalists' Association organised Felicitation Programme

TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia District Journalists' Association (TDJA) organised a special felicitation programme for the children of journalists affiliated to TDJA at Kakopathar on Sunday. Organised by Kakopathar Press Club under the aegis of TDJA for second consecutive year at Kakopathar Anchalik Sanskritik Sangha Auditorium, 10 children belonging to journalists of Tinsukia, Doomdooma, Digboi, Saikhowa, Kakopathar, Sadiya, Jagun and Margherita who excelled in recently declared High School & HS examinations in both state board and CBSE were felicitated along with their parents. While Bijoy Dutta, president of Kakopathar Press Club welcomed the press fraternity, Ranajyoti Neog, TDJA general secretary explained the objective behind holding this extraordinary meeting which was aimed at encourage children of journalists. The meeting chaired by TDJA president Anuj Kalita witnessed inspirational deliberations from academician-cum-journalists, past presidents and forest official Krishna Kanta Gogoi.
