TMPK raised strong demand to arrest HS final examinee’s murderers in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur district unit of Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) has raised strong demand to arrest the accused involved in the murder of Suman Sagar Taid, an HS final examinee.

Notably, the body of Suman Sagar Taid, son of Manik Taid and Dipali Taid, resident of Padumoni, Saboti under North Lakhimpur Police Station was recovered by Railway Police Force (RPF) personnel on the night of February 13 under the Pahumara railway bridge of the district. He was untraced from 10.30 am on the same day after he had gone out of his house on his bike. The family members of the youth alleged that he was killed by a drug peddlers’ gang by hatching a conspiracy.

Regarding the case, a delegation of Lakhimpur district unit of TMPK, led by president Biju Doley and secretary Anil Changmai, submitted a memorandum to Lakhimpur Superintendent of Police Rajbeer on Monday demanding him to arrest all the culprits involved in the alleged murder. The organization further demanded him to bust the illegal dens of local liquor and opium in the Saboti area.
