Total of 34.800 kg ganja seized, one arrested in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Based on specific input, Deepjyoti Bharali IC of Salonibari OP under Tezpur Sadar Police Station in Sonitpur District seized a total of 34.800 kg ganja on Saturday at Borjhar Gaon area.

Official sources said that the confiscated item was seized from a car bearing registration Number AS- 12D- 2894 and one person has been arrested in this connection. Reportedly the car was going from Udalguri to Balipara.

The arrested person have been identified as Rajib Daimary, who hails from Pakribari village in Udalguri district. Currently interrogation is going on to find out linkages.
