DIBRUGARH: The 43rd meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Duliajan was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Oil India Limited, FHQ, Duliajan. Rajeev Baruah, ED (HR&A), OIL, Badri Yadav, Dy. Director (Implementation), in-charge of Regional Implementation Office (North-East Region), Bhaskar Babu, Hindi Professor, Hindi Teaching Scheme, Dibrugarh, Arunjyoti Baruah, CGM (HR-FA), OIL, Debashis Bora, GM (PA), OIL, attended the meeting along with HoDs and Official Language Officer/in-charge from Central Government Offices, Public Sector Undertakings and banks located in Duliajan and nearby areas.

Diganta Deka, Officer (Rajbhasha), OIL, Member Secretary of TOLIC, Duliajan, conducted the meeting and presented quarterly progress reports. During the meeting, the issues encountered in the implementation of the Official Language were discussed and required decisions were made to resolve them. Badri Yadav, Dy. Director (Implementation), examined the reports received from all offices and provided important suggestions for the gradual advancement of the Government of India’s Official Language Policy. Bhaskar Babu, Hindi Professor of Hindi Teaching at Dibrugarh, provided guidance on Hindi training.

Arunjyoti Baruah, CGM (HR-FA), stated that the Rajbhasha Sevis will have to go among the people to spread the official language Hindi. He emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony between the official language Hindi and the local language asked everyone in attendance to design and implement an official language module in each office.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Baruah, ED (HR&A), OIL stated that the TOLIC, Duliajan meeting, presided over by OIL, is always held on time. He expressed his appreciation for the attendance of the member offices at the meeting and urged everyone to maintain such activism. In order to promote the official language Hindi, everyone must be encouraged to undertake as much work in Hindi at their offices and to extend their assistance in making TOLIC, Duliajan the greatest TOLIC in the Northeast, Baruah added.
