Trade fair to promote products of SHGs gets underway in Morigaon

MORIGAON: With an aim to promote local products produced by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and to promote them, the Morigaon district administration, in cooperation with the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), Morigaon, inaugurated a trade fair for SHGs to display and sell their products in the premises of Morigaon Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner Leena Das formally inaugurated the trade fair of SHGs in presence of CEO of Morigaon Zila Parishad, DIPRO, BDO, Laharighat and District Project Manager (DPM) of ASRLM, Musaraf Hussain Choudhary. Earlier, a felicitation programme was held which was conducted by the DPM of ASRLM. Thereafter, the DC lit the ceremonial lamp. Altogether 18 stalls of SHGs have been set up. The trade fair will conclude on March 1.
