Trade unions and federations stage protest at Bongaigaon Railway Station

BONGAIGAON: Along with other parts of India, all trade unions and federations staged demonstration on Friday at Bongaigaon Railway station and Bongaigaon Railway Workshop against several issues like the Central Government's anti-labour policy, petrol-diesel price hike, privatization of profit-making public sectors like BSNL, Railways, oil and power distribution.

They also demanded compensation of Rs 7,500 for all families whose income comes under income tax for the COVID-19 pandemic. Several leaders like Ashish Biswas, Assam State secretary of HMS, and Hareswar Das, president of Bongaigaon district CITU, were present in this protest.
