Sonapur: In a tragic accident in Sonapur, three youths from Moirabari lost their lives instantly when their four-wheeler goods vehicle (bearing registration number AS21AC3309) crashed at high speed into a parked truck on the roadside while heading towards Guwahati.

The deceased have been identified as Shariful Islam, Shakil Ahmed, and Mustak Ahmed, all from Moirabari. Shariful Islam was the owner of the shop “Sheikh 99+”.

As per reports, the three were travelling to Guwahati early in the morning to procure clothes for their shop when the accident occurred. Unfortunately, their journey was cut short as their vehicle rammed into a stationary truck, resulting in their instant death. Their bodies were later taken to Sonapur District Hospital. “This is not the first accident caused by illegally parked trucks in the area. Despite repeated incidents, Sonapur’s traffic police and the state’s transport department have remained indifferent,” said a family member.
