Tragic road mishap in Udalguri claims one

TANGLA: In a tragic road mishap, a mini passenger van hit a middle-aged woman at Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road in Garuajhar under Paneri PS in Udalguri district at about 5.10 pm on Tuesday. According to reports, the woman, identified as Tilmaya Sonari, fell into a roadside drain after being hit by the van and sustained head injury. She was rushed to Tangla CHC were she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene following which an agitated mob vandalized the van. The woman is survived by two sons and her husband.
