Training on NAAC assessment preparedness at Biswanath College

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A RUSA 2.0 sponsored day-long training on NAAC Assessment preparedness and NEP Implementation in colleges of Assam was organized on Wednesday at Biswanath College in collaboration with UGC-HRDC, Gauhati University. Fifty teachers, including Principals of five colleges, participated in this programme.

As resource person, Prof Debendra Ch Baruah, Professor in the department of Energy Technologies of Tezpur University, illustrated the significance of NEP 2020 and preparation process for its implementation. The other resource person, Rupam Gogoi, Assistant Professor in the department of English of North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), discussed various aspects of NAAC Assessment and Accreditation Process.

In his inaugural speech, Principal of Biswanath College, Dr Chinta Mani Sharma expressed his views on the importance of this training programme. On behalf of HRDC Gauhati University, the programme was coordinated by Prof Dhrubajyoti Saharia, Professor and Head of the Department of Geography, Gauhati University.
