DEMOW: An awareness meeting and training programme for tea workers on child labour, child marriage and child trafficking was organized by District Child Protection Unit, Sivasagar in collaboration with State Child Protection Society, Assam at Krishna Behari Tea Estate in Demow Revenue Circle on Monday. Deepawali Kurmi, Assistant Commissioner of Sivasagar District inaugurated the programme. In order to create awareness, an awareness meeting and training programme was organized among the tea garden workers. In the programme, Dr.Bikash Ranjan Konwar, District Child Protection Officer, Rupa Gogoi, Protection Official, Assistant Manager of Krishna Behari Tea Estate, Labourers of the Tea Estates, Adolescents along with other dignitaries were present.
