Training Programme on Gender budgeting organized at Amal Prabha Bhawan

GUWAHATI: A three days workshop was organized at Amal Prabha Bhawan at Social Welfare Complex on the topic “Empowering Women through Gender Budgeting” sponsored by Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India organised by Assam State Social Welfare Board with great initiative of Krishna Das, chairperson of Assam State Social Welfare Board. Ministry sanctioned fund to conduct three district level workshop in the district of Sonitpur, Bongaigaon and Majuli and one state level workshop at Guwahati on Gender Budgeting to Assam State Social Welfare Board.

After completion of three district level workshop, State level workshop was organised from February 24 to February 26 at the complex of Assam State Social Welfare Board, Guwahati.

The state level workshop was started with welcome speech by C. R Pawe, Secretary, Assam State Social Welfare Board followed by lighting of lamp by chief guest Dr. Lakshmanan S, IAS, Mission Director, NHM, Assam along with Krishna Das ,Chairperson, Jugobala Buragohain, Member, Priyanka Handique Neog, Member and Dr. Sunita Changkakoti, Member, Assam State Social Welfare Board and also delivered speech in the inaugural Session, stated a press release.
