Training programme on inquest held in Kamrup district
A training programme under the banner of Kamrup district administration on inquest and related issues was organized at the conference hall of the Integrated DC Office, Kamrup, Amingaon
RANGIA: A training programme under the banner of Kamrup district administration on inquest and related issues was organized at the conference hall of the Integrated DC Office, Kamrup, Amingaon on Wednesday.
The programme was organized to inform about various issues related to the subject and actions to be taken by the Executive Magistrates and Police Personnel at the time of holding inquest.
Sidhartha Pratim Moitra, retired District and Session Judge and Faculty Member, Judicial Academy, Kamrup, Bibekananda Das, retired SSP and OSD to CID, Assam, Javed Ali Hassan, Legal Adviser, CID Assam, Dr Raktim Tamuly, Assistant Professor, Forensic Science Medicine Department, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, and Athang Singson, Deputy Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Guwahati were present as the resource persons.
Attending the programme, they highlighted various issues related to inquest and activities to be done by the Executive Magistrates and Police Personnel (I/O) while holding inquest. They also praised the Kamrup district administration, especially Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli for organizing this training programme on such an important subject by involving all Executive Magistrates and Police Personnel of the district.
In her welcome speech, Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup, expressed her gratitude to the resource persons for attending the training programme to discuss various issues important for the officers who hold an inquest. In the changing scenario, it would be very helpful for the entire team of Executive Magistrates and police personnel of the district who are related to the subject, the Deputy Commissioner said.
The training programme was attended by Superintendent of Police, all Additional Deputy Commissioners, Additional Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioners, Circle Officers, Officers In-Charge of all Police Stations of the district.
