Truck carrying illegal sand detained in Patacharkuchi

PATHSALA: A truck bearing registration number AS 01BC 8969 was detained by Patacharkuchi police during checking on Monday night at Patacharkuchi in Barpeta district. Police informed that the driver of the vehicle failed to produce any document for carrying forest property. Later the truck was handed over to the forest department for verification and taking legal action under Forest Act.

The checking was carried out under the leadership of Birinchi Borah SDPO, Bajali with the help of Patacharkuchi Police, in presence of officer-in-charge Subhash Baishya and Sub-Inspector Surya Kumar Bora under the directive of the Superintendent of Police of Barpeta, Dr. Rabin Kumar.
