Truck loaded with IMFL liquor from Arunachal seized in Nalbari

NALBARI: A truck loaded with several cartons of IMFL liquor from Arunachal Pradesh was intercepted in Nalbari on Sunday. The container truck bearing registration No.UP77 AN 4146 carrying 400 cartons of liquor worth Rs 12 lakh of market value in Assam was intercepted by personnel from Assam Excise Intelligence Bureau at Ganesh Mandir Chowk at around 5 pm.

Subhash Baishya, IE, Manas Pratim Sarma, IE, Chakradhar Kalita, AIE and Bhaskar Deka, EC along with Nalbari Excise personnel intercepted the truck. A case has been filed against the truck driver and his accomplice under the Excise Act, stated a release.
