Trucks carrying stone, sand seized by Tezpur Sadar range Forest officer Shamim Akhter and team

Tezpur: Acting on a tip-off, a team of Forest department personnel under the leadership of Range Forest officer, Shamim Akhter of Tezpur Sadar range office under Sonitpur West Forest division, Tezpur seized seven trucks laden with sand and stone in Sonitpur district on Friday.

Shamim Akhter informed that the trucks were seized from Bhutpara and Sirajuli area under Dhekiajuli Range and Napam, Batamari and Bhomuraguri area under Tezpur Sadar Range in Sonitpur District for the violation of Assam Minor Mineral Rule 2013 of the forest department and these trucks were running without valid challan for supplying minor minerals.
