KOKRAJHAR: The debate, mudslinging and criticism among the supporters of BPF and UPPL have turned uglier. Two BPF supporters -Chandu Sutradhar, son of Surendra Sutradhar, and Anuj Gurung, son of Tulsi Ram Gurung- of No.1 Aiepowali of Dadgiri along the Indo-Bhutan border were attacked on Monday night at around 8 pm by miscreants. Local sources said that the attackers came near them while they were eating snacks in a roadside tea stall. They tried to quarrel with the BPF supporters over political issues and subsequently attacked the two youths with a knife and injured them.

Getting the information, former deputy chief of BTC and BPF candidate of 14th ChirangDuar, KamphaBorgoyari rushed to the spot on Tuesday. He strongly condemned the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

Meanwhile, Tanka Ghimire, SungabaAnchalik president of All Assam Gorkha Students' Union (AAGSU) also condemned the incident and demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in it. BideswarSutradar, president of Chirang district committee, All Assam Sutradhar Students' Union also vehemently condemned the incident.
