BOKO: Two COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Boko on Tuesday.

Sixty-two-year old Phanidhar Rabha from Maj Bondapara village tested positive on Tuesday. Boko Hospital SDMO Mohitosh Benarji said that Boko health workers began community surveillance from May 7 of this year and they took swab sample of Phanidhar Rabha on May 27. His test result came positive. After that along with SDMO Mohitosh Benarji, Boko Revenue Circle Officer Pinki Dutta and Boko PS Officer in-charge Jogendra Barman reached his house and had him shifted to MMCH for treatment. Meanwhile, the administration declared the area as containment zone. SDMO Benarji said that he had no travel history and he was suffering from diabetes. He was recently consulted a doctor at Bijoynagar in Kamrup district. On the other hand, Sahinur Islam (25) was also detected COVID-19 positive in Jamlai Rupahara village. Nagarbera Hospital SDMO Dr Kartik Patowary said that Sahinur Islam had come from Nagaland on May 26 and medical workers took his swab samples on May 28. The doctor had already advised him for home quarantine. On Tuesday, his results came positive so immediately he was sent to MMCH for treatment and his village was declared as containment zone for 14 days under 150 diametres
