Two-day Rongali Bihu Sanmilan under the patronage of the All Assam Students’ Union underway in Demow

DEMOW: Under the patronage of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Demow Regional Committee and in association with the people of Demow, the Rongali Bihu Sanmilan started in Demow Public Playground from Tuesday with a two-day long programme.

As per the schedule, on Tuesday the programme started with flag hoisting and after that swahid tarpan was offered. Egg fight competition, pitha pana competition, Bihu dance competition, Bihuwati competition and husori competition were organized. On Wednesday, drawing competition, dhol badan competition and Jeng Bihu competition will be organized and after that, the prize distribution ceremony will be held. Popular singer Geetanjali Das will perform in the cultural night programme.
