Two drug peddlers nabbed at Shila bazar in Barpeta district

BARPETA: The police operation against drugs in Barpeta district is on. On Thursday, two drug peddlers were caught with drugs at Shila bazar in Barpeta district. Two youths had brought the drugs from Guwahati to Barpeta for selling. The police caught them and recovered 5 tablets and 9 brown sugar-filled containers from their possession. The weight of the drugs seized is 27.41gm. Police interrogation is on. The two persons have been identified as Hamid Sikdar of Keotpara, Barpeta district and Liyakat Ali of Aminpara, Palhazi in Barpeta district.
